Traffic Control Planner / Engineer
Portland, OR Full-time Planning

Qualified engineer to develop MUTCD-compliant traffic control plans for diverse project types across the Pacific Northwest.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (PE license preferred)
  • 3+ years TCP development experience in a U.S. context
  • Strong knowledge of MUTCD Part 6 and state-specific supplements

BHA Traffic Control is seeking a qualified Traffic Control Planner/Engineer to join our planning team in Portland, OR. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for a wide variety of projects including interstate construction, utility work, bridge maintenance, and special events throughout Oregon and Washington.

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license required
  • Clean MVR (no DUIs, no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Operator/CDL Driver to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves transporting, setting up, and removing MUTCD-compliant traffic control equipment including arrow boards, PCMSs, truck-mounted attenuators (TMAs), and Type III barricades at various ADOT and municipal project sites.

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
  • Minimum 3 years construction safety experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (construction safety standards)

BHA Traffic Control is hiring a Safety Officer to oversee OSHA and MUTCD safety compliance across our project sites in Colorado and surrounding states. You will conduct regular safety audits, deliver toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and work proactively to maintain our outstanding safety record.
